The Swedish Secret By Earl Gustafson

You may remember Andrei Sakaroff; he was a nuclear physicist who had been imprisoned through the many years of the Soviet Gulag and was released sometime during the 80's prior to the collapse in the USSR. He was on the cover of Time Magazine and I happened to learn the job interview created by considered one of Time's reporters. Sakaroff was answering a question about ideology when he commented on his excitement upon discovering the political experiment known as democracy during high school graduation.

There is something in regards to the title "representative" that gets people all excited. There are new powers and privileges that turn grown women and men back into teenagers, and the seeming invincibility makes any temptation appear to be recommended. Accountability? There's no method in which they are able to ever be caught, especially not with the media posse that's dying to the latest juicy gossip about this good-looking senator across town. Yet somehow, miraculously even, the dirty deeds eventually arrive at the top. And it's not even just sex.

Like it you aren't, human nature isn't designed for altruism. Like any other animal, people are about survival. We have a long and full good reputation for bloodshed. We'll kill whether it benefits us. Just imagine what meaning in terms of getting what we should want without having to kill for this. Screw the subsequent guy over? Pfffft, that's nothing!

These days we're facing new, collective mid-life crises. Take our planets atmosphere. There's a lot of useful mention how bad it can be, about the sustainable energy sources that is developed, contributing to how this period necessitate more wisdom. While there's a lot of essential talk about political, Politik Dalam dan Luar Negeri technical, and social solutions, there is not much mention what sort of wisdom could supply just what the crisis demands. Whenever the modern demands upon wisdom surface the talk gets pretty vague, otherwise it is the same stuff I found didn't meet the challenge during my personal mid-life crisis. Smarma, I refer to it as - smarmy dharma, similar to:

It is now western oligarchy's barely concealed desire to have the proletariat (anybody living paycheck to paycheck as opposed to from capital gains, roughly 99% of planetary population) to devolve to make use of of slower transport plus much more provincial community living. They would love simply for individuals revisit horse and carriage (or its bicycle equivalent) also to spend a large chunk through the day as well as their caloric energy "conserving", recycling/reusing trash, making their very own organic food, self-flagellation for sins from the planet, and creating pottery/trinkets to sell to each other. The rich themselves would obviously go on large gated estates spread all over the world, fly on advanced personal vehicles, have increasingly stronger healthier bodies through genetic engineering/cybernetics, etc. Globalization would homogenize the earth's poor into an interchangeable mass just like it can the same with their neofeudal lords.
